Renal Transplant

A kidney transplant is a surgical procedure in which a person whose kidneys are no longer working properly is replaced with a healthy kidney from a living or deceased donor. The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs located just below the rib cage on either side of the spine. Each one is the size of a fist.
